Duties and responsibilities: police officers provide protection to the general public. They work for local or state police departments and perform a variety of duties including patrolling neighborhoods directing traffic and investigation crimes. And high schools diploma or the equivalent is the required and many officers hold collage degree.  

Salary: upon entering the academy the starting base salary for police officer I shall be $57,420. The officer will earn this rate graduation from the police academy upon will this rate until graduation from the police academy. Upon completion of the academy and assignment to the field as a probationary police officer and the officer shall be paid $60,552

Education: specific education guidelines for police are set by individual agencies following sate or federal laws city county and state police officer are often only required to have a high school diploma or pass all general; education development.
