History of basketball
Dr. James Naismith was a Canadian physical education instructor who invented the game of basketball in 1891 while working at the YMCA training school in Springfield, Massachusetts
Basketball is the only major America sport with a clearly Identifiable, inventor James Naismith wrote the sports original 13 rules as part of a December 1891 class assignment at a young men’s.

The concept of basketball was born from Naismith school days in the area where he played a simple child game known as duck-on-a-rock outside his one-room schoolhouse.

The problem with the new game which was soon called basketball was getting the ball out the basket they used ordinary fruit baskets bottoms and the ball of course stayed inside at first someone had to climb up every time basket was scored it was  several years before
                    The original rules
·     The ball may be thrown in any direction one or both hands.
·     The ball may be batted in any direction with one or both hands
·     A foul is striking the ball with the first violation 3 and 4 and such as describe in rule.

An America game that has traveled well is basketball now played by more than 250 million people worldwide in an organized fashion as well as by countless other in pick up games
