April fool’s day

             

April fool’s day is celebrate every year on the first day of April as a day when people play practical jokes and hoaxes on each other. the jokes and their victims are know as “April fool’s.” hoax stories may be reported by the press and other media on this say and explained on subsequent days. Popular since the 19 century the day is not a national holiday in any country but it is well know in Canada Europe Australia brazil and the United States.

In the middle ages new year’s day was celebrate on lady day the feast of the annunciation on 25 march in most of Europe the feasts octave was 1 April the holiday may have originated in France as a part of the shift to celebrating new year on 1 January a move formalized as part of the 1564 edict of the Roussillon it may have appeared earlier in Chaucer but this is now generally discounted.

Another explanation of the origins of April fools day was provide by Joseph Buskin a professor of history at Boston university he explained that the practice began during the reign of Constantine when a  group of court jesters and fools told the roman emperor that they could do.

This explanation was brought to the publics attention in an associated press article printed by many newspaper in 1983 there was only one catch buskin made the whole thing up. It took a couple of weeks for the AP to realized that they’d been victims of an April fools joke themselves.

 when I applied to library I had one general idea of what I wanted to do with my MLIS. I deeamed of working in a collage library in idyllic  campus settings serving the research needs of an academic community.

And I would love to be a lawyer because I would help a lot of people to defense there rights. In the news come out the people make protest about that they want to change the president of mexico because his not doing his job. A lot of things that are have passed in mexico in a lot of people always sate quite because they have scared if they talk and they said that they are ready tired of being living like that they would do something to the people. That’s why I want to be a lawyer to help a lot of people to defense their rights.

·    Doctor I would be in Salvador because there a lot of kids that they need attention because Salvador it’s a country were there a lot of animals insects that cause more little kids get infect that’s why I would like it to be a doctor in Salvador because when those kids are sik no one do nothng one because they don’t have money and they don’t listen to them.

Volunteer opportunities

The department of Volunteer Services at UCLA Health System supports the 3 Hospitals and anyone who has been invited to volunteer in a School of Medicine Research Lab. Volunteers are provided opportunities to give service and support to hospital staff, patients and visitors. In addition, volunteers play a significant supporting role in the overall operation of the Health System. 

Volunteers help recruit participants for the center’s vital work providing blood and

platelets for the UCLA Health System and other medical organizations. The center is also looking for individuals willing to donate blood.  Eyeglass collection volunteers collect new and used eyeglasses through mailings or by establishing collection bins at work, church, school, or community locations. Glasses are then given to the Affiliates, who in turn coordinate the donation of the spectacles to local homeless shelters and health clinic both here and abroad.
