Volunteer opportunities

The department of Volunteer Services at UCLA Health System supports the 3 Hospitals and anyone who has been invited to volunteer in a School of Medicine Research Lab. Volunteers are provided opportunities to give service and support to hospital staff, patients and visitors. In addition, volunteers play a significant supporting role in the overall operation of the Health System. 

Volunteers help recruit participants for the center’s vital work providing blood and

platelets for the UCLA Health System and other medical organizations. The center is also looking for individuals willing to donate blood.  Eyeglass collection volunteers collect new and used eyeglasses through mailings or by establishing collection bins at work, church, school, or community locations. Glasses are then given to the Affiliates, who in turn coordinate the donation of the spectacles to local homeless shelters and health clinic both here and abroad.
